Cynthia Jones, descendent of one of the first Latvian settlers to Alberta, showed her glorious begonias of Lakeshore Gardens on the historic Jones family homestead in Lake Isle. The Jones family have lived on the Lake Isle property since its original purchase from the Dominion Lands Office by ethnic Latvian John Jones.
Displaced Persons camp, Accu near Hannover, Germany. 1947. Both the Benkis family and the Trautmanis family lived in Camp Accu. The camp was named after the nearby German battery plant, Akkumulator.
