Notes - Tape #29. This is a summary of an interview where Mr. Tom Gorman discusses farming life and its hardships from 1919 on. He discusses individuals who lost their entire crops and what to do if you ran out of feed for your horses (a two-week trip downriver.) Mr. Gorman also discusses some of the entertainment, such as chicken raffles, that would "get everyone out in the community after a hard day's work." (6 pages) |
