The Hall's raised chickens for eggs to sell for years. Then they raised Buff Orpingtons and finally Bantums crossed with Broilers. They loved to hunt grasshoppers in the garden and yard

Ernie built a large tractor shed for the John Deere tractor. Hall's yard is full of flowers and trees that they planted

Gwen Hall and Jason **** hauling water to cauldron. It was much handier to heat large amounts of water outside. They heated any water that was needed this way

The Hall's bought their trikes at auction sales. The trikes were so much easier to handle than horses

Ernie and Gwen Hall built goat fences out of slabs and boards. The goats were the easiest little animals to handle and the Hall's loved them

In February of 1996 the Boyle Food Bank was started by Rosalin Nahorny and Gwen Hall in the basement of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. They had lots of volunteers and donations. It has been serving people ever since. Fred Korbutt is now in charge.

The rock garden was started in 1994 with big rock from the fields. In 1996 the rock garden already had lots of flowers. Gardens, trees, and raspberries were planted along the driveway. Ernie Hall built a large machine shed, garage, summer house and pump house

Jason **** is helping with the siding. Ernie and Gwen Hall put cedar siding on their house to keep the bats out.

Ernie Hall built a deck to upstairs. Then Ernie and Art Van Dam took the north roof off the house and put a new north wall up. Now they have two roomy bedrooms upstairs

Hall's bought their first Massey Ferguson tractor and cultivator at Walter Mikulan's auction sale. They went to many auction sales for all of their needed machinery

The Hall's built a new porch to replace the tiny cold one and they also replaced the kitchen floor

Ernie Hall put up lots of hay to sell and for the cattle. Gwen Hall would take lunch and a card table and chairs out to Ernie and they'd have a picnic

Gwen Hall's first clothes line between the trees. The beaver ate the Hall's tender lawn grass. The beaver were so interesting and the Hall's loved watching the babies swimming. In 1990 the county dynamited their beaver dams against their wishes

Ernie and Gwen Hall loved the quad. It was so much stronger for carrying calves on

Hall's painted house and their very small cold porch. Gwen Hall washed clothes outside where her heated water was. They hauled water from the creek and in the winter melted snow

When the Hall's bought the farm the house was in need of paint and the attic was full of bats. They found out that their log house was covered with dingy boards. They painted it, but painting didn't help the bat situation. When they arrived at the farm in the summer they found the well was dry
