Transcript of audio interview - From the Ukraine to Halifax to Winnipeg and finally to northern Alberta, Jerry’s maternal grandparents homesteaded in the Paxson area, close to where Jerry has lived most of his life. During WWII, his father was in the army, and after serving for two years, was able to get a truck. This launched a multi-generation business in trucking. Jerry trucked throughout western Canada, and especially to Yellowknife, and also developed and ran service stations in the Grassland area. In addition, he shares stories of his work overseeing platform construction projects for the North Warning System for NORAD all across northern Canada. He continues to help in the family business, and also volunteers with the Grassland fire department (16 pages)
