Description / Synopsis
The grizzlies of mountains, forests, arctic tundra, and the big brown bears of the northern Pacific Coast all belong to one species that once ranged over most of western North America. Although greatly reduced in numbers and gone from much of their former range, there are still landscapes where the great bears fish northern rivers for salmon, graze peacefully in alpine meadows and teach their cubs the ways of the wild. |
