The Auzin's family history (pages 4-6) describing the time spent at Fischbach Displaced Person's Camp near Nuremberg, Germany until 1948. Early education for Ollie, Andy and George began there as well as Boy Scout and family Church attendence. The family then travelled to England and then canada via Greenlandand arrived at the Montreal Dorval airport in a DC4 plane. They travelled byCNR train to Wetaskewin Alberta from Montreal, Quebec. A quater section homestead was taken out on the land near Pigeon Lake. The Canadian Latvians had a fondness for the land and weekend retreats were common and "Ligo" night was celebrated every year. Theboys attended the Spring Hill School and learnt to speak English there.
