Moving North from Yumthang to Mome Samdong. The Sebu Cho is fed by the ice-fall below Chombu 6363m. In September 1952 a large portion of the ice fall is believed to have collapsed causing the Sebu Cho lake to burst. The released waters swept everything before them and caused severe damage down the valley, destroying half of Lachung village and sweeping away many suspension bridges. The route from Lachung to Mome Samdong is now mainly over boulders and moraine debris.
