Notes - The life of Patrick William Leslie Clark is discussed in this brief biography. P.W.L. Clark was born in Scotland, immigrated to Canada and moved to Athabasca in 1916. He was a lawyer and was active in many groups including: the Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge, school board, and hospital board. He was also a provincial magistrate and represented the Methodist Church of Athabasca at a Toronto conference which united three churches into "The United Church of Canada" in 1925. P.W.L. Clark married and had four children with his wife, Edith Mary Lamb. He died and was buried in Athabasca in 1939 |
