Booklet - United Grain Growers was built in 1917-1918 in Athabasca as a grain delivery point. In order to build an elevator, early organizational work was done by share-holders of Alberta Farmers' Co-operative Elevator Company. In 1917, Alberta Farmers' Company and The Grain Growers' Grain Company amalgamated to form United Grain Growers. Lists U.G.G Elevator Mangers at Athabasca. Early grain storage in Perryvale area, U.G.G at Perryvale and list of elevator managers at Perryvale. U.G.G purchased the Gillespie Grain Company elevator at Colinton in March, 1943.
