Notes - Meeting minutes of the Athabasca and District Centennial Committee, from meetings held September 26, 1966 - October 1967. Contained in the minutes are the members who were present at the meetings, plans for the centennial celebrations - including a Centennial Ball, parade, Queen Dance, Centennial Caravan, The Don Messner Show, and 'The Athabasca Story'. There was a lot of planning involved in preparing for the Centennial Celebrations, which took place over a few months in 1967. The actual Centennial Celebrations took place on August 7 and 8. The Centennial Caravan came through town on September 13; and the wind-up Centennial Ball was held in October (40 pages) |
