Justa few lines on my lovely _ trip to Thunder Bay. The welcome there was as warm as ever, All the ground work had been ABLY performed by Do- lores as always. It was won- derful to see & hear all those familiar faces and voices. The trip was very successful in that clubs that have only been mentioned in previous histories becomes dates, names and happenings. Anything we got was more than we had before. Reino Laine had done a super job of interviewing past ve- terans on tape and promised to continue the good work. Also Auli Doherty and Eini Kaarela promised to help in translating - our biggest job at the present. Will get to that as soon as possible after Christmas. Thank you Gulliver, for your letter. Your’ll be hearing from us also. The meeting we had was a complete success. Bigger than any of the Liitto meetings have been in years. It was heart warming to see so many in- terested faces. My tongue was almost played out from talking - as I said I’m a talker, not a speaker. Thank you everyone for entrusting all your treasures - scrapbooks & pictures to us. We will guard them with our UOLLUT Aleksandra Aho (0.s.) Rae, 70, kuoli T. Bayn sairaalassa marraskuun 28. paiva 1983. Synt. Fort William, Ont. Sudbury 12 We will be reading your letter, Gulliver - at our next meeting which will be held at Elvi Duncan’s home on Jan. 7th at 1 p.m. It will give us alot of food for thought. That literary flair is still obvious. May I take this opportunity to invite guests from out of town as w.ll as local, to our next meeting. We had Arvi Tuumanen from the Soo at our last meeting and Jules Pai- vid from Mattawa at the previous one, as well as local people much to numerous to mention. [t is exciting to see some new faces at each meet- ing. We are hoping to see Elsie Jokinen at this coming one. Thank you Mary, Gertie and Alfred for your club his- tories. Will be in touch. K.K.K.
