Elections:

Sections 105 through 108 of the 1909 Alberta Election Act allowed for the deferral of
general elections in cases where electoral divisions could not reasonably hold a genera!
election on the date called, Due to lengthy periods of inclement weather and the large area
encompassed within the Athabasca Electoral Division, three general elections were deferred in
the Athabasca Electoral division until summer months:
The general election held on March 22,1909 was deferred in the Athabasca Electoral division
to July 15,1S09,
The genera! election held on April 17,1913 was deferred in the Athabasca Electoral division to
July 30,1913.
The genera! election held on June 7,1917 was deferred in the Athabasca Electoral division to
June 27,1917.
